Galaxy S8 Bluetooth Not connecting properly

Hey all just wondering if anyone else is having bluetooth issues with the s8. Just got mine yesterday and it connects to my car stereo just fine but for some reason it only picks it up as call audio only and does not let me play any media off of it. Anyone having similar issues and have a fix?

What make and model of car do you own? Some models use BT for phone calls only. I rented a Jeep that wouldn't use BT for media. Did your previous phone play music via BT?

I just started having the same problem with only call audio pairing with my Bluetooth on my Kenwood deck. It had been working perfectly for a month until yesterday. This is extremely frustrating. I hope Samsung will address this issue immediately

Syncs to audio and Bluetooth in my 2016 Chevy Sonic LT with no issues. I do have to select Bluetooth from my touch screen on vehicle radio screen to enable it.

POSSIBLE FIX...
Vehicle
2009 Mini Cooper S Clubman

Tried to pair multiple times but phone would not give passcode. Both phone and car would timeout. In frustration I tried a passcode of 123456 for kicks. I finally got a response from phone and car. Looked at my phone and it says to try 0000 or 1234 for the pass code. Tried all 0's and it connected. I tested it and it works fine now. Was about to go return and get a IPhone. $800 pho e should be able to connect to bluetooth. Lol. Hope this helps some....

Same here. I have the nx702 and all previous phones- S3, S4, S5, S7 and also some LG devices- connected without an issue for both calls and audio...now this S8 won't play any audio through system

2016 Honda Civic - I have intermittent connection issues. The phone paired fine, but the connection is terrible when I use it for both music and voice. Hoping for the fix soon.

Did you sort out your issue with connecting s8 to music? As I have a Kia also and when it connects it messes up head unit and won't disconnect. Even if you switch cat off

I have the same issue. I drive a 2013 Ford with Sync. my GS5 and GS7 both worked just fine. Now I can only make calls, no media.

Wife has a Bluetooth device in her car and the media sounds distorted, haven't tried headphones yet. very UPSET, as I drive 12 hours a day and use my phone for media

Same here, have a 2015 Ford Escape with SYNC and I can only call but can´t reproduce any media, have someone heard about a fix from samsung??

Its pretty frustating!

I have a 2015 with SYNC and no issues either...

I have a 2015 with SYNC and do have this same issue =( how can I check which SYNC version is installed on my SUV?

Bluetooth is one issue with my S8. FIrst, it will not connect to my 2013 Outback. Upgraded from a S6 this weekend. Once it finally connects, it partially works for phone calls, partially works for media and does not automatically connect like the s6. Cannot pair more than one BT device with the phone. I use a BT headset in the office and once oaired, disconnected what limited car audio connection I had. I have tried all of the fixes with soft and hard switches. AT this point, I am probably taking the phone back.
