Galaxy S8 Kernel Rev. check fail. device:2. binary:1

I tried to update the newest android version on my s8 and it first just didnt finish the update and now every time i start it it just says "Kernel Rev. check fail. device:2. binary:1" and shuts down...what can i do?

Well it said it had a new update but it didnt work

Bring it to your carrier, tell them that the update they shoved into your phone bricked the phone, so you'd like it replaces or repaired. (Even though the phone is under warranty, this is a liability issue - someone broke your property without your permission.)

I had the same problem recently, and with Z3X the firmware did not come back

Hey all, dunno if you resolved the kernel error but I was getting the same thing on my S8 (SM-G950F) and ended up checking if anyone at the Samsung store could fix it (they could). Have a look at this post I wrote up, hopefully it's somewhat useful.
