Galaxy S8 Randomly calls another S8

My wife and I were in the car this morning when my phone, a S8 Active sitting on the dash, starts ringing... I pick it up, and it is my wife calling... except she's not; her S8+ is sitting in the console. She picks it up, unlocks it and cancels the call. We explain it away assuming there had to be a logical reason, and close all of her open apps.

It happens a second and third time, so I check to see if it has been calling other numbers too, but it has not; my number is the only one in her "recents" this morning. I reboot the phone, hoping to reset whatever might be bugging it.

Within a couple of minutes, as we pull into the driveway, it calls my phone again...

However, once we are in the house, the phones are separated, and it doesn't happen again...

Both phones are almost 2 years old and are on the same plan, and I have to believe that it is not a random coincidence that it happened with my S8 while they were within 2 feet of each other, and no others. This is the first time it has happened though...

What can explain this, and how do we stop it from happening in the future every time we sit next to each other?

Does it only happen right after the phone connects with the car system?

The car doesn't have a BT system.
She did have her BT headphones in the car, and I considered that maybe they initiated the calls, however, I was not the last person she called or texted, so that killed that theory.

Does she have your contact as a Direct Dial widget on the homescreen? If so, maybe it was a phantom touch over that widget, which can happen with a screen protector that isn't fitted well (among other reasons).

No Direct dial widgets, she didn't even know that is. Also, each time it happened, the screen was locked, so no phantom movements (nothing near it to move anyway).

Which Bluetooth headphones? Maybe they have some feature that allows a one-touch call to a favorite contact.
