To me, even at the basic level the S8 and S8+ are just better-looking devices and that's all without getting into specs and everything else that comes along with the comparsions.

Android is so powerful that Samsung can turn it to anything they want. iPhone is full of limitations. Samsung Galaxy S8 is an evidence of the having advantage of Android being open-source.

It all depends on ecosystem preference. My non-techie mom loves her iPhone.
