Galaxy S8 Won't Pair to VW 2012 Passat

Purchased an S8 last week. Can't sync with my 2012 Passat....says "no compatible devices found". I've had no problems connecting my other phones to the car. I called Samsung support and was told the Bluetooth software in the S8 is new and not compatible to "older bluetooth". So those of us with cars 5 years old can't connect the S8 to our cars? Frustrating. Any advice?

Welcome to the forum! Check with your VW dealer to see if they have an update for the BT. Technology waits for nothing, lots of stuff gets left by the wayside.

Mine had a moment as well. However I had to turn off and on the Bluetooth several times for it to finally pick it up. Many VW forums you can find to ask that question. VW Vortex is probably your best bet if you don't want to call the VW dealer.
