Android Central Question

Since I ran the last system upgrade I have had an issue where I have to delete emails more than once. Even if I delete them from Trash they occasionally come back with the next sync. Very time consuming.
I use the standard email app on the Galaxy. White envelope, red background.
I use GoDaddy as my provider, it is a POP3 set up.
It is an email account I have had for more than a decade and is a major part of my business so changing it is not really an option.
Thank you in advance for any guidance.

... it is a POP3 set up.

That explains it. When you use POP3 all deletions that you do only affect the status on your local device. It does not delete the message on the server.

You should check the account settings on the email server on your phone to see if there is an option to "also delete on server" or something similar.

FYI, if you were to use IMAP, your local device is essentially viewing the server contents. So any changes you make locally are instantly made to the server also.
