Galaxy S9 multiple notifications at once

My wife and I are having some issues with out galaxy S9. When the phone syncs with email or some other app that could have multiple notifications that come in at the same time the phone plays the notification sound for each and every notification. It isn't just email it does this with though, it's every type of notification.

The worst is first thing in the morning, as soon as "do not disturb" turns off at the set time, every single notification I received during the night starts pinging off. Which there can be a lot of them.

Anyone know how to fix this annoying issue?

Having the same issue. Very annoying, make me want to turn off notifications altogether.

Any luck sorting it out? I also receive multiple notification sounds when DND turns off, whether it's manually done or scheduled. I don't expect or want to hear notification sounds when they are already listed while Do Not Disturb was on.

Had this happen with my s8 last year as well. I just close the notifications before turning off do not disturb.
