Galaxy S9+ triggers store alarms

[Android Central Question]

My Galaxy S9+ has recently started triggering store alarms on entry to and exit from stores. I've checked it is the phone by holding it at arm's length so it is the only thing in the store detection field. I had a similar problem with an S5 and it went faulty a few months later by constantly rebooting. I've seen the answers that claim it isn't possible, but it clearly is.

No case? Nothing that you are wearing? Not NFC or other phone settings?

I agree with NFC see if that's your issue.

Welcome to Android Central! There are a number of threads dating back to 2013 asking about this, and it seems that turning off NFC doesn't always help. Do you have a case on? Are you wearing a smartwatch or fitness tracker as well?
