Galaxy SII Epic 4G - how fragile is the screen?

I thought the screen is pretty sturdy. Dropped it on marble floors many times. Still look new.

Yup, it's glass. It's gonna be perfect until it's shattered. There's no scratching it easily like with plastic screens, and it might survive 10 drops. But that ONE bad drop....done.

I drop mine all the time. Twice on concrete stairs. Onto pavement. Even stabbed it with abutter knife. No damage to the screen. Only everything else.

The Ballistic case arrived today. Not as bulky as I had feared it might be. Looks nice, but not as nice as the bare phone. Definitely feeling safer with it.

Some of the posts in this thread are interesting. ?Dropped three times in one day?, ?stabbed with a butter knife? etc. I'm guessing that some people here are insured, and ready to upgrade to the SIII.
