Galaxy SII HD lte help please???

Ok to all those out there who might shed light on this, the original international gs2 had
Gsm-850/900/1800/1900
Hsdpa-850/900/1900/2100
Which is exactly the same as the gs2 hd lte, so unless I'm missing something I thought that's what you payed attention to when you determined if the phone would work on different carriers, my original international gs2 works fine here in the states on at&t so with matching bands shouldn't hd lte do the same just without lte?

I'm having the same issues here in Australia.
I can get 4g(LTE) when i go very close to the towers... however when i get a little further away the signal changes over to 2g. I've researched as much as i could, despite being limited information on this phone. From what i've found, Telstra(Australian telecommunications provider) 4G USB devices use LTE/HSPA+(nextG)... So when you're not in range for the LTE it changes to HSPA+. I don't believe the GS2 HD LTE has HSPA+ ? only HSDPA/LTE/GSM. Is there enough difference between HSPA+ and HSDPA that they're not compatible with eachother ? Telstra 3GSM runs on 2100Mhz(only in a few cities in Australia), Whilst 3.5G is 850Mhz also refered to as NextG. I find the 2G signal is quite terrible also. Could anyone correct me if im speaking out my ass ?

Okay, so i've been researched Further and found HSDPA vs. UMTS ~ Full Speed
Essentially, If that guy is even half correct. What i've stated would be all irrelivent IF the networks do support HSDPA even if they're UTMS ( because apparently HSDPA is backwards compatible. )
I believe the bands used in the USA are 850GSM and 1900GSM anyway, thereforth you undoubtably get 2g at least right ? GSM World Coverage Map- GSM Country List by frequency bands

As for updating the firmware (official) ... i don't recommend it. The only visual difference i noticed was the loss of the "enable/disable" LTE option. The LTE still works, you just dont have the option to disable it. I recommend you stick with the official firmware it was released with and hold off until icecream Sammich

I Read the manual that came with the Phone and noticed the networks aren't what every website on google will throw at you. So i called the Samsung D'light shop where i purchased my phone in South Korea and discussed a few things regarding the phone. Firstly, There are 3 S2 HD LTE models, SHV-E120K/S/L (which determines the Network they're on). Mine is KT, and i'll attatch a photo of the specs from the booklet.
Okay, so down to it.
WCDMA, LTE, GSM, DCS(GSM1800Mhz),US PCS.
Can you check your booklet to see if your networks differ due to being a SK phone?
These frequences certainly differ to that of all google search results.

Secondly, I asked if he was aware of when Ice Cream Sandwich will come out. He said Currently Ice Cream Sandwich(korean version) doesn't have LTE Support, but he believes within 6 months it will be released.
