Galaxy Tab 3.8.0 Alarm Clock

Must be overlooking something simple but I cannot get the alarm clock to go off if the tablet is sleeping. Mine is set never to shut off completely, even the WIFI. Been through all the settings and can't find the problem.

Any suggestions?

By sleeping, do you mean with the cover closed?
My alarm clock works fine, but not if I have my Samsung cover closed (the one with auto off and on, when I open and close my cover)

Yes, that's what I mean. Not a Samsung cover but works with same principal using magnet. Is there another way to get it to function? Like using the power switch to sleep it instead of the cover?

Unfortunately as long as the cover ie closed the alarm won't work. When I travel, I use the open cover as a stand and set the clock alarm, works great.

I have a Snugg with magnet and this is the exact reason I am now using Timely. It's a great alarm, goes off with the cover closed and is downright pretty to boot!

Don, t use the alarm very often but have found it does not work with cover closed so that solution sounds good. Must try it.

I have the Tab 3 10.1 and never had an issue with the alarm sounding with the cover closed. I am on my 2nd case and both have the magnet to trigger the screen lock.
