Is the 7-inch screen too small?

With the 1024x600 resolution, it's just about the perfect size.

I really like the size for portability. If you only want to browse, maybe ipad better. But if you use all the features, then Tab is great. It took me two weeks to get used to this, but I find myself taking it everywhere.

I had a tab for about 3 weeks and realized it was too small for me. I found myself always pinching to zoom when reading web pages. I would definitely say when a good 10" version comes out to buy that one instead. Im an huge android guy, but cant justify the size and pricing. Picked up the Ipad a few days ago and its perfect size for me. Try it out, you have 30 days the going to be your best route.

Its a perfect size for me because I take it with me everywhere and it fits in most of my coats pockets so I can free up my hands. I'm always on the go work work and driving my kids everywhere its become a very nice companion. On my sons hockey team on of the parents has a ipad and he carries it around in a small backpack which reminds me of a man purse so I would want anything larger.

I also use the tab for a lot of emails and find the screen size to be just right for typing in the vertical position.

Size is fine, portability is great, not to heavy to hold in hand for long periods reading.

All you guys and your "coats." :) I live in Florida, I could use a coat 2 months out of the year... after that, its carry by hand!

Great size for me. Light, nice screen the text wrapping works good. Love the different fonts as well

7" is perfect for a handheld device that can fit into a coat pocket. The iPad needs a bag. If I were at home and didn't need to carry it around, I might think about going for something bigger. But if you're on the go, it's the perfect size. I also like widescreen dimensions -- it's more aesthetically pleasing for HD video than the iPad and I can run remote desktop with the screen fit to width on the top and the keyboard on the bottom without obscuring any of the screen.

My biggest gripe, as stated above, is the price. The Sprint Tab with 2 year contract is ludicrously expensive for a consumer level device. You could justify the price for a corporate user, but $41/mo is too rich for shizz and giggles.

Depends on what your needs are. For me it was too small. Going from 4.3 to 7 inches wasnt that great. I played around with it for 3 weeks to make sure. When in the browser I found myself always having to pinch to zoom because the words were to small. I dont know I just felt like mostly everything I did on the tab, I wished it was bigger. I will come back to Android Tab once they get 10in screens and running Gingerbread at least. Ipad is perfect for me right now.:(

The point of a tablet is convenience. 10" is not convenient to take with you everywhere, 7" is.

Not picking on you or anyone that thinks 10" isnt convient. Convenience is a matter of opinion for me 10" is convient. The few days ive had it, I havent had any problems taking it anywhere I went. To me 10" is perfect size. I wonder what folks will say when an 10", Gingerbread, Android tablet is available, will that be too big for you too? Boggles my mind how one cant use both operating systems and have the best of both worlds. Broaden the horizon lol.
