Twice in the last few days I've looked at my watch and it hasn't activated by the movement and lit up the face (no biggie, it does that some time)
However, when I've pressed the button it still hasn't wakened up! In fact the only way I could get it to do anything was to long press the bottom button and reboot?
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Never had anything like that. What is your storage up to and are there any recent 3rd party apps you've installed?

Apart from a couple of APPS, I don't store anything (music, photos etc.) they are all on my phone. I can't think of anything new APP wise either. Mostly just the same ones I had on my S3.

Sounds like storage isn't the problem. Open Galaxy Wear on the phone and have a look. I tend to keep mine around 3GB (so leave about 1GB free) and my watch flies, always. Sounds like you will have even more available, but go into the phone Galaxy Wear app then info, then storage and clean out the cache (takes a while to calculate it before you press clean). Then go into the RAM and do the same. See if it improves at all.
It sounds like the processor is overloaded with something, either an app it doesn't like, or a hardware fault.
If no joy, the only sure way to test is factory reset, installing each app at a time and see how you go. If it's still doing it, get the watch replaced.

What you could try before following sonnet's advise: close all running apps on the watch (app overview> recent apps>close all).
Sometimes running apps make the response very slow.
Closing them on a regular basis also saves battery life.

Peter, please explain further exactly how to close all running apps? Where is "app overview"? On the watch or in Wearables?

Thanks.

Nevermind. I found it on the watch on the apps screen. Sorry I should've investigated further before posting. This is helpful because I've been getting the notification on my watch that I should "close" the Stopwatch app because it's using up my battery. Thanks.

As @supersoulfly mentioned in another post, you can also do this:

Settings--> Advanced--> Double Press Home Key--> Recent Apps

I've set my double press shortcut like this since getting the watch. It's a really quick way of getting to all running apps and then you could just press close all apps from there.
