Anyone thinking about upgrading or you plan on sticking with the Watch 6?
I'm assuming that this is the final death knell for the rotating bezel. They tried to get rid of it with the 5 Pro and caved, in my opinion, and brought it back with the 6 Classic. I'm keeping mine, too. However, if they had a blood sugar monitor feature (and I doubt anyone will have a non invasive one anytime soon) on the 7 Ultra, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. My Husband & I are sticking with our Watch 6 Classics.
I don't see any compelling reason to upgrade. I use the rotating bezel on my Watch 6 Classic & I'd lose that feature, so the the Watch 7 feels like a step down & the the Watch 7 Ultra is to big for me. (And that orange button....)
My Husband is completely satisfied with his Classic.
So I guess that we're out this time!

It probably wouldn't matter though if Samsung did equip the 7 ultra with glucose monitoring. They will never see through to getting approval in the US just like what they've neglected to do with blood pressure.I'm assuming that this is the final death knell for the rotating bezel. totally agree on all counts. I had the regular Watch 5 and it felt very exposed without the rotating bezel sort of protecting it. though I thoroughly liked the industrial design.........still do.It probably wouldn't matter though if Samsung did equip the 7 ultra with glucose monitoring. I can't believe they didn't design the Ultra to allow scrolling using the crown. If they're going to nix the bezel that's the last they could've done. I like the ultra but I remember the GW 5 Pro, and do not miss fiddling with the touch bezel, always getting fingerprints and smudges on the display.
I have two Watch 6 classics. I bought one last year when they first came out. The other one I bought $100 with my s24 Ultra. I have the black and silver ones. I don't use the silver one so I will trade it in for the Watch 7 Ultra. My price was the same as yours.I have the watch 6 classic and usually "forget" to use the rotating bezel, so I'm upgrading to the Ultra and using the classic 6 as a trade, final price with trade-in = $269.98 (including tax, fast shipping ($4.99). Just hope Sammy doesn't screw me. I'm keeping my Watch 5 Pro.
Since I have two Watch 6 Classics, I will keep one and use the other for a trade in. I plan on keeping my Watch 6 Classic because of the rotating bezel and I have so many watch bands. I don't like that changed the watch band so that it looks similar to the Apple Watch. Samsung seems to be following Apple in it's design. I like the rotating bezel because it is unique in the smart watch game.My Husband & I are sticking with our Watch 6 Classics.

I've given up that Samsung will ever fix what they need to in seeking FDA approval for the BP measuring. I guess they just do not care.It probably wouldn't matter though if Samsung did equip the 7 ultra with glucose monitoring. I also like that the rotating bezel offers some protection.totally agree on all counts. I had the regular Watch 5 and it felt very exposed without the rotating bezel sort of protecting it. though I thoroughly liked the industrial design.........still do.
That worked out well having two Watch 6 Classics allowing you to trade in one & keep one. There is no real compelling reason to upgrade if you don't need to. But I upgrade one of my watches in hopes that next year Samsung will have something better for me to use.
I blame the FDAI've given up that Samsung will ever fix what they need to in seeking FDA approval for the BP measuring. I guess they just do not care.
Not allowing for the option to scroll the screen is a decision I just don't understand. Two possible options & they nixed both.
I've used the bezel to navigate through the menu, tiles, settings, etc. What does the rotating bezel do? I understand its purpose on a traditional dive watch, but how would one use it on a smartwatch that isn't suitable for swimming much less diving?

I think Samsung originally developed it as a novelty to catch your attention, something out of the norm.I've used the bezel to navigate through the menu, tiles, settings, etc.
