Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra

Well mine wasn't in sleep mode last night but it still shouldn't have drained from 48 to 0 from me moving my wrist around that much I don't know maybe that's what happened but I've always had wrist awake on my other phone but that's my last result of what it could be I don't know and I don't use always on display. Maybe my power saving mode came on cuz it was so low do I need to turn it off if it's on I guess I need to double check my settings I'm going to call Samsung tech support tomorrow maybe I hate to have to reset the watch though especially to start over from scratch. It's awful I'm on 14% since 12 or 1230 this afternoon. Mine just said power saving mode turned on 12%, I just shut the whole watch off I'm so irritated I might just have to reset it.
It shouldn't go down to 0 for the hours of sleeping. You can check what app was running that took up the most the battery percentage.

How do you do that? I'm asking the tech support guy now but he already had me reset the watch. But nothing is different from my old watch I did put it on adaptive brightness I don't use AOD but lift to wake but after I reset it's restoring my data again it says it backed up my watch at 4:30 am and than it backed up again just now and now it's restoring from my 7.

He said it could of been a glitch and to keep and eye on it. I do see battery setting and sleeping apps. I wonder if I should of not restored? He said if I have to return it I'll have to rebuy and if have to talk to e-commerce about the price being the same. I paid 49.99. but I re-set up my sleep mode and I'm on 45 now so we'll see how it goes. I charged it a little when I got home. I did notice when the watch came back up it showed me set up options I don't remember seeing when I first got this and it talked about learning your usage patterns so he seems to think it's ok now it was a glitch we'll see. He said use the 7 charger even though 6 is the same. I've been using the 6 cause it's plugged in by desk already.

In the future before talking to tech about something like this, reset the device and try a couple days. They will always tell you to reset and see if it was a glitch. You will be one step ahead of them.

I can't remember, but why are you leaving it on overnight? If you're tracking sleep activity, you would be surprised how much battery that uses. Just a thought

I've always slept with it and let it track my sleep I've did that with the 6. I never had problems with it. But he said the charger for 6 & 7 was the same but use the 7. Cause I just left my 6 plugged in on my desk and have been using it. But I don't remember the watch showing me a few things when it reset and now I saw where it said learning your usage pattern which tells me to give it another couple days. He said I would have to return it buy another go through e-commerce to get same price big hassle. And it's my fault for already turning in my 6. But my last thing to try if this didn't work is maybe a reset and start fresh. But now I see what's using my battery and it does say AOD 0.8% byt my screen goes dark I have it on lift to wake but I did turn off AOD and guess I can see if turning off lift to wake makes a difference. I had it in sleep mode last night I didn't have an AOD on I didn't think maybe it came on after the reset. But yeah I will give it a day or 2.

I just changed from lift to wake to touch here's my stats right now but I'm still giving it another day or two to learn my usage since I reset it.

Lift to wake uses battery also, it's always sensing for movement. I hope it gets better for you.

If the battery is still draining, check if there are any back ground app's running. Try closing them before going to bed. Maybe a future software update will better the app power management.

Yeah it's still draining right now it says yard 1hr 33 minutes which I'm wearing it but not really using it. I took it off lift to wake and to double tap it's on 86% since wearing that for an hour and a half and not really using it so that's not good right? I was going to give our one more day. Not them I'm wondering if it cause I restored from the 6 to begin with? Should I try to reset once more and start fresh don't restore from other settings I don't know b

I'm just upset that Samsung said if have to send it back and but another one and that e-commerce would have to try to get me the same price. I paid 49.99 after trade in and have already turned in my old one. And I love the watch it's aggravating. He's a screen shot of what it shows running I turned off diagnostics and customization under app notifications not sure if that'll help. I wanted to keep Samsung health and monitoring on. I see health platform not sure what that is.

My ultra is getting 2 days+, but I charge it on 2nd day before bed time. Now it's mid day, and I have 60% left from last night 100%. It's reported 1 day+ left. Is yours the ultra? If not, you still should get battery life at least 1 day+ to 2 days with the regular watch 7. Yeah, maybe give it a couple days to learn your routines and see.

I'm getting really good battery time on my new Ultra. I just received it on July 24 and was going to do a restore from my Watch6 Classic, but after reading this thread I decided literally at the last second (as I was going through the setup) to do a manual setup.

Tuesday I went through a decent amount of battery doing setup on the watch , customizing my watch face and just plain messing with my new toy.

On Wednesday I charged the watch to 100% at about 8 in the morning. Last night at about 10pm I had 85 % battery left. I charged the watch to 100 and put it on about 10:30 pm since I wear the watch at night for sleep tracking. At 8 am I checked my watch and I had 93 % charge left. I charged back up to 100 for the day and wore th watch all day until about around 10 or 10:15 pm and checked the charge left and it was at 85% after wearing the watch from about 8am until 10 or 10:15pm.

I don't use AOD and I don't use LTE. I only use Bluetooth since I always have my phone (S24U) with me.

You might want to consider doing a full reset and doing a manual setup. It might work and it might not but I'm having great battery life with my new Watch Ultra.

Good luck getting the issue fixed!

Well my last resort was to do another reset and manual set it up. And I did call Samsung the other night last him to run me through settings which I could have done myself and I said you think there's something set up wrong or something I need to turn off and I asked him what my options were about returning.

I know I checked my settings I'm positive and tonight I went to double check and was going to reset it again tomorrow and I was low again tonight. Well please tell me I'm stupid and I found the culprit but my Wi-Fi was on. OMG I pray that's all it was not I know I checked that I'm pretty sure before I reset it the first time. Do you guys think that was my problem? I took off lift to wake which I liked using. I really hope that was it.

Well I used lift to wake on my 6 all the time battery was fine woke up to 45% most days. But I don't know if finding Wi-Fi on was my problem. I charged it to a 100 and I'll see what it's at tomorrow. I'm in bed and my sleep mode just came on 130. I looked at my battery stats and I think it might still be draining . Yeah 230 I am on 86 percent I'm not using it just laying in bed watching TV it's in sleep mode so one last reset with out a restore I'll start fresh I guess. If that don't help I'll send it back. I just hate I can't return it and get a replacement I have to re buy and how I get the same price from e commerce it stinks.

I've been following this thread and can't for the life of me figure out what the problem might be. rhetorical question: are there health monitor apps running nonstop? I purchased the Watch 7 to give it a try. I use the health features daily. I set up my watch from my GW6C backup via Smart Switch. my battery performance has been perfect from the jump. I'd be pulling my hair out, too. I liked the idea of a manual setup. I don't believe Wi-Fi connectivity is the culprit, though I'm willing to be wrong.

Well Wi-Fi wasn't the culprit woke up to 17%. I was so hoping that was it. If Samsung said send back the watch we'll even exchange it that would be different. But for me to have to go through e-commerce and try to get the same price IRSVP for $50 off I got work $20 discount I mean only paid $49.99 and then 12% from my cash back app which will get canceled. But yes I'm charging it now and my last resort is to do another reset but not let it back up Smart switch from my old watch and just do a manual setup. I just wish I hadn't sent my old watch back yet but I did. And after I set the watch up to begin with from the 6th the seven did a backup and that's what it restored from after I reset it. And it tells me what's running when I go to battery and I don't know what does customization thing is I thought I turned it off under apps and I don't really use Google Assistant on my watch but I set it up but I took a screenshot of this battery stats I forgot to do it before I plugged it in the charger.

And mine is just the regular 40mm small watch. Now when I first got it I charged it a couple times with the six charger cuz it was just there sitting on my desk but I don't think that would have mattered. And I may have even charged it at work using my Duo charging pad that I got for free with one of my other watches one day cuz I noticed it was low I think and didn't think anything of it I don't know I'm getting ready to reset it but I don't know how you just don't let it back up and start from scratch. But I still think there's something wrong with the watch. Is what I posted going under wearable app and battery is that showing me what background apps are running someone said turn off background apps but I'm not sure if that's what that is showing me cuz I thought I turn customization off and I see it in the list again

Anyways thanks everyone I'm going to reset it not let it restoe my last resort. Sorry for all my long messages. And now it still shows learning your usage patterns and shows Samsung health only 0.2%. It's just weird cause I should be able to have it set up like my 6 settings and it be the same if not better. I went to watch and found where to choose all running apps and I stopped assistant from running in background.

FWIW, I'm still using the charger that came with my GW6C. the charger that came with the new 7 is tucked away on my desk. no issues. keep us posted.

Yeah I didn't think that mattered my husband had one plugged into his car and I used it last night after our concert heading back to the hotel. I really think I got a faulty watch. I just need to hurry and figure something out cause I didn't know there return policy how long you have. And when I get home I'll reset once more and manually set up maybe their is a glitch with an old app i don't know. I hope my buds pro 3 are ok when they come.

Ok so one last advice! I had to email this supervisor about something and explained to her all about my watch. She said we could exchange it and I told her they have my 6 already we didn't get into much details cause I said my last resort was one last reset and to not restore from backup and start fresh and I would like to give it one more day. Well now it won't reset over and over it's having me do the same steps and says can't connect you need to reset your watch. It keeps going through the same steps over and over like 5 times I've signed into my google account matched the numbers it goes to the welcome screen tells me to connect and it starts over after it gets to as 100% it's weird. And than it said cannot charge watch too hot never seen that so should I just try to return. I'm sure your sick of hearing about my problems sorry but it's upsetting to me and now to have to return wait for another one but I am going to probably have to do it. But why won't it reset? Maybe I'll reboot both and try again.

Sorry to hear that you are having all this trouble with your new watch. I have basic 40 mm watch 6 and the battery life is as good as my watch 6 was. I have always on turned on. I have yet to use the charging cable that came with the watch 7 because I like you I have the old cable plugged in. It sounds like something is wrong with your watch. Samsung should replace it!

@Rose4uKY

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I thought resetting the watch and setting it up again from scratch was a good idea. But now, the reset is giving you issues. I'd suggest clearing the cash partition on the watch cause it sounds like something is stuck, but I don't know if the method is the same as on the watch 6.

If you can't get your watch to reset again then, I think you've done your due diligence & it's time to return it. I know that won't be any fun as you'll have to try to get Samsung to match your original price. I'm keeping my fingers crossed 🤞 for you

Again, so sorry you have to go through this.
