Galaxy watch cellular - receiving emails without phone

Is it possible to receive email notifications on the watch without having your phone on you? Is there a 3rd party app or anything?

Yes you can receive email notifications

how, it doesn't seem to do it with Samsung email when the phone is switched off.

The phone does need to be on and connected to a WiFi or cellular network. It still requires the Galaxy Wearables app to be running so it knows what notifications to forward to the watch
