GalaxyS8 Arriving: Use back-up or start from Scratch?

Hi Everyone,

My new Galaxy S8 arrives today. I wanted to know if using the backups from google or direct transfer from my S7 should be used....or setup the S8 from scratch which obviously will take a bit longer? Do I know what I am talking about? Not sure

There is an adapter in the box that can be used for transfers. I don't see any harm in using it. It uses Samsung Smart Switch which I have used plenty of times in the past. It works every time and it makes setup so much easier. But, it's up to you if you want to do a complete clean install. It does take time & make sure to backup pictures, music, etc. beforehand.
