Galazy s3 will not turn on after factory reset

I backed up all of my things from my phone so I could do the factory reset.
After doing so, I reset the phone. I could not turn it on after so i started looking up answers to similar problems.
I pushed power, home, and volume and got to the reboot menu and cleared the cashe.
I then pushed the reboot button and it did something and then got stuck at the ATT symbol with white screen behind it.


I also tried to install the firmware via kies and it said my device couldn't be updated.
I don't even know why I did this since its such a hassle to try to fix it....

please help. i've been working on this for five hours.:'(

Welcome to Android Central! Try removing the external microSD card, and then reboot. If the card got corrupted, it could cause problems.
