Gallery app full of junk

How do I keep the gallery app from being full of cache files and thumbnails from websites. Its got 100's of pics in there that when I delete they come right back. Anyway to block em?

Add a file name it .nomedia to the folder where the images are kept that you don't want to show up.

Google reader is doing it. It makes like 50 different paths. Guess I gotta find those somehow
