Gallery doesn't show up on Galaxy S10+ when I try to change a contact photo

[Android Central Question]

I am trying to change a contact photo on my new Galaxy S10 plus phone but when I tap on the contact's edit button, then on the old photo it asks do I want to pull a picture from my camera or gallery... when I tap on gallery to look at my phone pictures it is an empty white Box with nothing inside. Thoughts?

Happened to me before but in Instagram.it was because i deleted a cache folder.do you use 3rd party cache cleaner?sd maid?
