When I'm viewing an image in the gallery I cannot get the preview images on the bottom to go away and just show the picture I'm looking at. Tapping the main picture does not make the smaller pictures on the bottom go away.

Is this a setting somewhere? I can't seam to find it.

I just tried it and the previews disappear after a few seconds or I tap the picture.

I understand that tapping the screen is supposed to make it go away but on my phone it does not.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix it?

I remember at one time it did what you guys are describing.

I have the exact same problem. The issue is because you probably have some option under your Accessibility setting checked. Once you go into those settings and uncheck everything, the top and bottom bars in your Gallery will disappear after a few seconds or if you tap on a picture.

I dont see anything under Accessability that has to do with the Gallery.

It doesn't need to have anything to do with Gallery. I have Pebble checked because of the link to my Pebble watch, and my Gallery photos have the header and footer issues that you described. When I uncheck Pebble, those bars in Gallery go away. Trust me, just uncheck everything in your Accessibility menu, go back into Gallery, and see if you still have that issue.

I'm not willing to screw up my NiLS notification accessability to fix this issue.

Having said that, you are probably right. Those accessability issues have messed with other system things.

I can fix the problem if I do: Gallery > Camera Icon > Back button to Gallery. Then the pictures will show full screen.

But if I just go right to the Gallery from the home screen it doesn't work.

Yup, that's exactly what happens with me, too. Maybe it's something Samsung will fix with an update. It's definitely a Touchwiz issue.

Man, this was driving me crazy! Turning off Pebble accessibility now gives me full-screen photos and videos! Sorry, Pebble. :(

Thanks, forum!!

I had the same issue: Gallery image did not go full-screen on single tap.
Also: The default browser talked to me when loading a page and finished loading.

I had to disable the Llama service in accessibility settings.

I had the same problem. For me it was the "airdroid notification mirror service" in the accessibility settings. I turned it off now I can get full-screen in the gallery app again.
