Gallery Issues

So periodically when I go to my gallery and try to open a photo folder I'll get no response. Or if I press on a album it'll open the folder above it. I usually have to reset phone and it'll work normally. Any ideas what s causing this?

Pressing one place and getting a response as if you pressed on another place usually indicated a bad touch screen, but I'd try clearing Gallery's cache first. And also seeing if it happens in a different photo viewer, like QuickPic.
