Gallery issues

All my pics and videos keep disappearing from my phone and I can't figure out why?

Do you have them synced to Google? You can check there or if you are deleting them somewhere else they might delete from your account

I sync them thru Verizon cloud so it's no problem getting them back just wondering why I have to keep doing that.

Are the files actually disappearing from the /DCIM/Camera directory, or are the pics and videos only disappearing from the gallery app?

Do the photo and video files still exist in the /DCIM/Camera directory when you look using the My Files app?

This has been a known issue on S7 devices. I hope it doesn't start here!

My wife's S7 did this and after clearing the cache from recovery, it's been fine.

Check the directories to make sure nothing is adding a ".nomedia" file.

I just did that and found about 16 .nomedia so I deleted all and so far it hasn't happened again...keeping fingers crossed

That's weird that something is adding .nomedia files to the /DCIM/Camera directory -- I'd think that it was off limits to 3rd party apps.

I installed es file Explorer and went into hidden files and found them there...im not sure what put them there.
