Gallery on Android 8.1

How can I have Gallery on my Android 8.1 ? I doesn't seem to be installed at all.

Photos is really a pain. Instead of opening a folder, it launches one (always the same) of the videos in the folder, can't find a way to show the contents of the folder / directory.

Some people talk also about QuickPic, but never tell which one as there are several in Google Apps

Yes I have Google Photos, but don't like it at all. Phone is Gigaset 270

We see if any members have another gallery suggestion, I've only used Google photos or what the stock gallery the phone came with .

Don't use QuickPic -- it was bought by Cheetah Mobile, who is notorious for cramming lots of shady stuff in their apps.

Piktures and Focus are worth a look.

BTW, for Google Photos, you can look directly at photos in a folder by tapping Library, then the View All option next to Photos On Device.
