Gallery Organization

It takes a little extra work, but inside the gallery you can creat folders and view the gallery by folders by tapping on the arrow with the circle around it and selecting albums. It's unfortunate that the folders you already have dont automatically populate, but this does work.

Thanks! I am happy. It is exactly like the stock gallery I had in Gingerbread.

I tried it anyway. It looks and feels just like the stock android gallery.

Because of your concerns, I played with it for a bit and it seems to work great. I also uninstalled it to make sure there weren't any problems before I recommended it. It uninstalled exactly like it is supposed to.(I am not rooted ... yet) I then reinstalled it because it is cool.

I also tried and tested it and Gallery 3D is the stock gallery from the OG Droid. It seems perfectly safe. It also restores the picture frame widget, which I've been missing since switching.

If you loved the old gallery, get this free app.

Also, despite the fact that multiple comments on the app say its a virus, Lookout scanned it as safe. Some people have no idea what a virus is, or how to work a smart phone for that matter.

Anyone know if it's possible to have the camera app default to QuickPic when looking at the pic you just took? It always defaults to the horrible stock gallery.

Create a shortcut to QuickPic on the home screen and drag the icon over the existing camera app shortcut and it should ask if you want to replace the old one and say yes. The old app is still installed but the home screen shortcut will now open the app you want/

That isn't the issue though. What we're wondering is in the regular camera app, once you take a pic, there is a thumbnail of the image shown in the app. Tapping that launches the awful default gallery. We'd like to change that behavior so the camera app launches the QuickPic gallery instead.
I don't really think there's any easy way to do this without replacing the camera app itself.

I'm afraid you'd have to get someone to write a hacked version of the camera app, Check out XDA developers.
