Gallery Photos

My girlfriend has an LG Ally and every week she gets random photos of movies or other ads in her gallery. They appear to be from Millennial Media. I delete them from the SD card when they show up but they still come back.

Has anyone else experienced this on any Android phone?

That's a Mobile Advertising company...the photos are being cached to the sd card. Does she remember downloading an app recently when the problem started?

no. i did go to their site and opt her out of the advertising but she just got them again. i am going to have to look their her apps again. she only has a few like words with friends, groupon, gap, e! news, etc.

Had this the other day, just deleted and haven't seen again but I have flashed roms so that probably took care of the problem.

I've been getting these too. I deleted a bunch but they came back. I think it's either Scrabble, Wordfeud, or Words with Friends.

it might be all three but word for friends is ussaly the worst

Pretty sure it's Scrabble.

I don't get the pics showing up in my Gallery app, but there is a Millennial Media folder on my SD Card with an image I know for a fact is an ad I see popup quite often in the Scrabble app.

[edit]I take back the statement that it's not showing up in my Gallery app, as I rebooted to sync the app, and sure enough, there they are.

let's hope scrabble can fix this issue

Drop an empty file called .nomedia into the directory and it will not show up anymore in your Gallery.

Ill have to try that it sure beats clearing out the gallery once a week
