Hey guys I have a question about the gallery. I am wondering if there is a way to move certain pictures that I have received and taken into a special folder and then put a password on that phone. I have some pics of parties and stuff that my nephews don't need to see. Thanks for the help.

There are several apps on the market. Search for photo vault and locker. Some payed and some free. They don't really hide them. They apply a different file extension so the Gallery doesn't recognize them. Making it necessary to view those pics from the locker program.

photo vault only returned 6 apps and the best ones are paid of course. Might have to wait

If you just don't want them to show in the Gallery, put them in a folder by themselves and name it so that it starts with a '.'

example: .doNotShowThisFolderInGallery

So the only drawback to that rename the folder tip, is it has to renamed without the "." In order to view the hidden images with Gallery. My Astro file manager doesn't have zoom in its image viewer.

You can use the gallery to view them, you just can only view one at a time. At least I've been able to pull it off, you just have to pick the gallery as the action instead of Astro's viewer.

Nope. I'm getting a black screen when I choose Gallery as the action. All the Gallery controls are visible along the edges of the screen. Just no image.

Oh well it's still a good way to hide images.

I don't have a lot of lag outside of Gallery, but I've always attributed that to loading everything from the SD card and my Picasa albums. Every now and then it'll chug for a second or two, but that only happens on a rare occasion.
