I stumbled onto this video and was duly impressed (by the graphics, not necessarily by the reviewer's skill ;) ).

Will games have the option to hide the bottom menu buttons like movies/videos do? I hope so.

I would think that once the games get updated for ICS the buttons would disappear

Absolutely sick what these modern phones are capable of. I'm in for a massive awakening with my first Android phone.

With Honeycomb only the native Google movie player has the ability to make the buttons nearly invisible. So I'd say very unlikely, the buttons are part of the os and are very important to the operation of the phone.

I wouldn't count on it. The buttons only hide during video because you don't have to touch the screen. As soon as you touch the screen, the buttons come back. This just wouldn't work for most games.

Will the Gnex, or other Android phones be capable of connecting a USB type controller to play these games?

Man, I can remember back in middle school when I first heard about the Sega Game Gear and how I wanted on for study hall. To be a kid now...

ics has support for usb devices, you will need to get an otg usb to micro usb adapter however

But it doesn't matter because the phone has an old GPU so it sucks no matter what anyways....

But really I can't wait. And that clock widget is looking pretty nice, is it a stock Android widget?

I think it's rather funny how...just a few months back everyone was up in arms about how "unimpressive" the specs were, especially in the graphics department.

As I said, and will always stick to, you have to see the Galaxy Nexus as a whole unit...not just separate pieces of HW. It's how the entire device functions...in harmony. These gaming videos prove it!

Yep, this is a nice little demo of how games play on the device. I was a little sad when I heard about the GPU also, but doesn't look like it'll be a problem. Thanks for posting the video!

I can say that emulator playing Mario art 64 runs a bit smoother then my Xoom using a tegra 2 at its stock clock speed. Setting it to 1.2ghz gets about the same results and at 1.5ghz the tegra 2 is smoother...

Probably get the same results oc'ing the GN... can't wait :-)

I still have the Sega Game Gear sitting in my drawer.

I do agree though, "to be a kid now..."
