Game sound fails after notifications

Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (Same as Core?).

Any and every game, whilst playing, everything is fine until I receive a text, battery warning, or plug in to charge. The notification sound plays (or doesn't, even when notifications are muted this occurs), and all sound within the game ceases until it's relaunched. Very annoying, to say the least.

Suggestions, please?

I don't think you can disable this feature. I think it's there to help you hear notifications so that you wont miss them in case they are important.
