Just to confirm something, though im not a Gamestop expert, I was in the store today and i went ahead and asked some questions. So today was the official last day of "wave 2" pre orders. I do not have a clue when the first wave of gamestop preorder will hit but at least 2 out of the few Gamestop stores in my area already have them in the store they just cant sell. So to me that means the first wave will hit soon. As for wave 2, Gamestop has officially stated that they will release wave two by August 7th, but I was told today that you could get it before then. I guess it depends on when the second shipment arrives. So sometime after August 7th wave three will hit. Hope this info helps some of you guys out.

I've been lurking since the preorder using this forum and others to sorta keep track of the n7 progress. I had no idea it would go like this. I really just wanna say one thing. I pre-ordered too...on the fourth of July. I'm in the first wave and my device is at a gamestop less than 10 minutes from where i'm sitting and has been there for 2-3 days. I have no problem with play store customers who ordered before me getting theirs first but if we're playing first come first serve than I want my n7 before someone who preordered on play store on july 5th..this is all silly Google needs to get the product out asap so people can see how awesome it is, not letting their flagship tablet gather dust for weeks???? who knows?

Lmfao, Google never said a date. We just figured it out. So in there mind they're not doing anything wrong. Calm down.

I am calm. I know they never said a date but my 7 sitting in GS . Why do I have to wait since google fuc up there launch? If it wasn't shipped I prob wouldn't care but it was!!!
went up to gamestop today asking which wave i'm in...they said they had one they just got in the store but theyre not allowed to sell it yet by word of google..they said that one is mine since im the only one that preordered
Why do I have to wait till Tuesday to buy a new release dvd/CD when I know the store got them off the truck Monday morning? Or why do I have to wait till Friday to see a new movie in theaters when they've had the movie real for a week or more and doing pre-release by invite only? Or even console releases. Sure they set a date, but the store usually has the product at least a day in advance..... That's just the way it is man. :thumbup:

Just called the local store & they confirmed that mine is in and available for pickup. Will swing by after work tonight.
I just rec'd a call and a text from Gamestop saying my Nexus 7 is available for pickup this morning. I was supposed to be part of the second wave..... Great news for a Friday!!!!!
Unfortunately none of the GameStop locations I have locally have any stock available for walk-ins. :'(

Not true. GameStop corporate gave the go ahead to sell the Nexus 7, period (I spoke with a store manager). It is not limited to just pre-orders, but most stores only received enough stock to cover pre-orders. If a store has additional stock, they can sell it.
