Ok, I do have the intercept but with the current rom/kernels im liking the performance. I'm happy that its fast enough to listen to music/ browse the phone pissing on itself. The one issue that bugs me with intercept is that since it has no GPU, gaming is pretty much nearly nonexistent past 2d games. Don't get my started on the screen resolution....

So my question to you guys that is on 2.3 or (insert setup here), what games can you guys run? I really want a cheap device that can run dungeon defenders(someone try it!), Spectral Souls(try this too) or (put demanding game here)

Please post up some gaming experiences with the V please guys.

Yes, I did use alot of parenthesis lol

Few Good Ones...

Yes, Pocket Legends is a good one... Kinda like WoW(World of Warcraft) for the android platform..

Also, Need for Speed Shift(If you can find v. 1.0.4.apk)...

BTW, I am running an Optimus V with aosp GB(Gingerbread 2.3) overclocked at 864Mhz. I just upgraded from an Intercept and must say that this thing is even faster than my Droid2(Verizon)... The Adreno 200(GPU) in the Optimus V is by far a game seller for prepaid mobile...

Have attached some screens for ya.

Pocket Legends I was actually running when I had my Intercept, so you should have no problem with it at all... At times it gets laggy with the Intercept, but the game is playable nontheless.

As far as NFS Shift is concerned...

Took me a month to find the specific apk after buying the newest version and it not working(New version starts and goes back to homescreen"FK")... Friend of mine found the apk for me and it runs ok... Sound is a little choppy at times.

Tried MegaJump but it wouldnt scale to the correct resolution and i could only see a bit of the screen. Kind of disappointing.
Spoke with the developers of Rocket Bunnies, they said an ArmV6 compatibile version is expected within the next couple of weeks. They will have someone flying out to San Francisco next week for something and while hes there he will pick up an Optimus V to bring back to them so they can test and further develop. Hooray!

pocket legends runs fine for me at 767 mhz. BUT use 3g for your connection i was doing some linpack tests today while doing a download and found out that wifi has alot more overhead vs 3g

linpack baseline was 9.0 to 9.1

linpack with 3g downloads 7.7 to 8.1

linpack with WIFI download 6.5 to 7.2

it was a rough test but it showed it wasnt in my head, when playing pocket legends via 3g it was running much better. :)
