is anyone else having any issues with gboard when selecting an emoji? i thing they just pushed an update through, and now when i try to select an emoji, the keyboard wants to fill up the whole screen. i tried clearing the cache/data-didn't fix it, tried uninstalling/reinstalling-didn't fix it either.

I'm not seeing that, and I have this version. It is from 24 July. Are you by any chance using the beta version?

Try uninstalling the update and see if it goes back to normal.

I have the same version as Laura Knotek and the emoji selection does take up more of the screen than the regular keyboard. This new sticker selection thing is a bit bigger than I would need it to be. I can see where you might call it "filling up the whole screen". Guess I don't talk with emojis enough to have noticed before now.

Yeah yours isn't showing the general list of emojis. Mine, from the bottom to the top, shows a few rows of the whole list, then recent, then stickers. Yours isn't showing the whole list. I don't see that being a setting or anything, although I would prefer if mine didn't show the stickers. Like I mentioned, I hardly use emojis at all, apparent from my complete ignorance of the fact that it changed at all, but I really don't use stickers at all. So that whole row is a waste for me. Actually not sure how I have a recent emojis list at all. The first 3 and laughing til you cry are the only ones I might have used. When would I have ever used the horse/cowboy one?

To the OP, look through the settings and see if there is anything for "compact" or that makes it sound like it might be condensed.

I finally use one and it shows up as a placeholder in the browser. It shows up correctly in Tapatalk. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is what I see. I do have the size larger than normal, but to get the emoji panel back to the way it was, I have to shrink down the keyboard size, which leads to me fat fingering the keys lol

This is the version I have. Not sure if it's different because I'm on AT&T.

On Samsung you don't have the option as it's not default

So go to this site uninstall your current version and try ours
