For the few who are lucky enough to get there Gear 2 early, How does the screen look in the sunlight?

Good. No problems yet.

Also the Gear has an outdoor mode with Max brightness and enhanced contrast.

I tested this on my dog walk this morning. No troubles with seeing the time or the app icons. They are VERY clearly defined. I tried different watch faces and wallpapers with no issues. While the colors could be a bit dim, the actual clock and icons were bright and clear. Viewing the camera suffers in the direct sun. I could make out general outlines of what I was photographing and just had to take the leap and shoot. Photos look great now that I'm back inside. Overall, very satisfied with performance in daylight thus far.

That is good news. I was trying to find a matte screen protector just in case sunlight was a issue.

No problems here either. I haven't had to use the outdoor mode yet. Didn't have to with the Galaxy Gear either.

Been great so far! Haven't touched the outdoor mode yet either but I could see myself needing that at the beach or something. But screen is easy to read pretty much anywhere!
