Gear Fit 2 or 256GB Memory Card.

The 128GB dropped by 30% after 2 months it was released.

I think Samsung is giving some good freebies away which makes me think what will they give out during Black Friday but Christmas. Those are the times where things are just handed out. I would love to see the Gear 360 camera included. Not free but maybe for $100.

I'm looking at ordering from Sam's Club to get their $150 gift card, too. The only problem I see is having to get one of the gifts from Samsung. How long of a time frame are we looking at here? I've seen some people say 4 weeks. Others have said 12 weeks!!

The terms and conditions state 'up to 12 weeks' but it's highly doubtful it would take that long. I'd guess 4-6 weeks in most cases.

I just left Best Buy. And after talking to the Samsung sales guy about the memory card or gear fit 2 on which ones is better he was saying that the fit is a better freebie. I can do more with it than a 256gb card. Now mind you, I don't run swim or much exercise so I don't need that aspect part if the watch. The rest is tempting. Decisions decisions...I need help..

I doubt that. Just his opinion basically saying that 256 GB is overkill and no need for that much space unless I put movies and such on there.

Personally I would have no need for the GF2. I have a Huawei Watch so having two does me no good.

How is the fit 2? I like it but not sure yet. I won't be using it for running or working out. So what could I use it for?

I like it. I'm not a runner either, though I am trying to be more active. I use it to keep track of how much I'm walking during the day. If I have not hit certain marks by lunch or dinner, I take a 5-15 minute walk. I do use it to track the real exercising I do, but I'm not sure that those numbers matter that much to me since my workout schedule is very regular.

I also use it for notifications. Being able to read emails and texts without grabbing my phone is something I thought I wouldn't care about. Now, I love it. Most just get dismissed. Most of the rest get a pre-written quick reply, like "Yes" or "Sounds good". Plus, with the right watch faces you can look at the weather forecast and your schedule for the day.

Probably go with the SD card since I already have the Gear S2 Classic.

I have a few questions about the gear fit 2. Do you have to have your phone on you to use the GPS for route mapping? Or can you leave your phone at home and just use your watch? Will you still get notifications if your phone is not on you? And I see that it is water resistant...does this make it okay to use when swimming laps? Or should it really not be submerged?

The fit2 is 149.99 to 129.99 and the price will continue to drop especially because wear 2.0 releases in Sept along with alot of new watches that does alot more the fit2 the SD card is the better value to resale right now and probably over the next 2 months. I'm in the same boat as two earlier posts I'm getting which ever has the better resale value

When we get our phones next week how do we go about and get the info we need to send into Samsung? Is it best to go into a T-Mobile store? I'm only asking because I know we need a copy of the receipt and the IMEI number. Will the receipt or proof of purchase be on the website so we can take a picture of it and send it in? I don't want to wait to long because the SD card will go fast.

I have the brand new Vivosmart. I love it, but can't respond to texts on the sly when I'm running. And a long text message is a pain to read.

I got the shaft with the Gear S2 Promo, either I get the Fit 2 like I want or I still score with the SD card.

I am truly torn.

I have the Garmin Vivoactive and love it. Battery lasts 5 to 7 days. It displays my messages (only SMS..not Hangouts), notifies me of email and Facebook posts, but can't read or respond to them.

I have a 126GB card (it is a U1) and it is only about 40% filled and that is mainly music and some movies.

I am already a netflix subscriber so I don't need that.

My dilmena is what do I get?. I don't take a ton of pictures or videos and I know that the price of the 256 will drop within a few months.

I like the fact that the Gear Fit2 has 4gb onboard so I can just use my watch on my runs and not risk dropping or something happening to my Note 7 (even though I will have a workout sports band).

Maybe I will get the Card and then sell it for $200.....LOLOL.

I have a few days to figure it out and watch video's and research.

I was all set to get the card, but I found a good 200gb one on amazon for $75 so now I am thinking I will just get the GearFit.
