Hey guys I am awaiting my S9+ (coming tomorrow) and am wondering if anyone is using the IconX with another Samsung phone and if it is as convenient as other wireless sets like the AirPods and PixelBuds. I also wonder how sound quality is and if the battery life is decent with them? Looking for about 5-6 hours (I know the site says 5-7 but I want to make sure real world numbers line up) to get me to lunch, charge, then finish the day at work.

Should work fine. I don't keep track of the numbers but mine last a long time. I use one at a time that way one is always charged. I use them with my note 8 and soon to be s9 plus. I also have the airpods and these work the same way.

In terms of quality, they should sound better because of better isolation. Less ambient noise to muddy up the output.

The 7 hours is only for on board music (the buds have over 3GB storage). But for streaming from a device it's rated for 5 hours, so you probably will get a little less than that depending on volume.

Only thing I haven't gotten used to is hearing all the sounds in my head, like breathing, chewing, and just the sound in my ears when I move around. They do block outside noise very well though!
Yeah, I was kinda used to that because my last ones were similar as far as blocking out everything. I love it though, my wife's mouth is usually moving but I can't hear a word she says

So a small update. I love the sound, love the convenience to my S9+, but have to return them because of two things. 1: my ears do not fit them at all and my head usually hurts after about 20 minutes. I even used the smallest tips for them and the smallest earpiece. 2: they cut out a little bit here and there but cut out a lot when running. They also tend to be super annoying when I get a message and especially when I get a call by announcing the call and repeating the number until I pick up. I do not like that one bit. The Pixel Buds were more subtle while doing the same thing, I think Samsung's way is just a bit weird. Sad to see them go because they sound incredible with the Dolby Atmos sound from the S9.

You can turn notifications off. I also haven't had the issue with them cutting in and out, maybe you got a bad pair?

I wore mine hiking the other day to test out ambient noise pass through. That was interesting haha.
