Gear S not connecting at all

Switched watch off last night and now won't connect to anything.

Just keeps searching and nothing happens. When it scans no device comes up as available

I don't want to have to reset the gear. .I would lose everything

Yeah tried everything. In the end I had to reset it.

In Gear, go into settings, connections, Bluetooth, click make visible
