Gear S2 No texts

I am receiving notifications with third party message app but not with my stock message app. Bought the watch last weekend and this wasn't an issue until the last couple days. Not sure what I did.

I've only been able to use either the stock texting app on my phone or Verizon's Message+ in order to be able to sync messages with the stock messaging app on the watch. 3rd party have never worked for me to maintain functionality. The watch will show the notification from the app you're using, but that's all.
