Gear S2 vs other smart watch, Google Play Music

hey all... so I have been lurking for awhile and doing research on smartwatches and have decided to ask for everyone's help.

I have a Galaxy Note 4 phone and a Note 12.2 Pro for a tablet. I am looking for my first foray into a smart watch. I have been keenly looking forward to the Gear S2 but have started to have 2nd thoughts as I have come closer to pulling the trigger. I have a Google Play Music premium subscription and actually love that for music.

Here is what I am looking for in a smartwatch:

1) Notifications
2) Nice looking "watch"
3) Music support for Google Play Music
+/- Samsung Pay seems intriguing but not a "must have"
+/- reminders does seem nice and frustrated its not on the Gear S2 but I may be able to overlook that as well

Sounds like the interface and system on the Gear S2 is top notch... my biggest concern is lack of google support. Can I play music through my watch or am i restricted to just Milk?

Any thoughts and feedback would be appreciated.

Yes you can control most music apps, including Google Play Music, from the Gear S2. You have to select "play music from device" in the swipe down menu on the watch.
