I got a new Gear S3 Frontier and added my 2 debit cards. I used it yesterday on the S3 but it never gave me the points. It did work for the sale.

Has anyone else seen this? I get points when I use it on my phone.

Thanks

Nope I'm platinum easy 40 points for each watch sale never fails also notification on the watch and phone shortly afterwards of the sale

It did register the sale. So you do get 40 points for each watch sale? I forgot to check the balance before so I may be ok..

Thank You

Used the S3 yesterday for the first time to pay (used the phone many times) and I did not get any notifications like when I use the phone. I checked the credit card and the transaction is there. If I check Samsung Pay, it does not show the transaction, only shows the ones from the phone...

S Pay transactions done using the watch should show in the Gear Manager app on the phone when it is paired via BT with the watch.

Every time I use the watch within a minute a get a notification on the phone and watch almost simultaneously usly before I can walk away from the registor

Says no transactions found. The CC added to the watch shows up there.

I will make sure BT is connected next time I use it. Assuming it was since I had my phone with me just in case.

I often use Samsung pay with just my watch no phone and soon as I get home and reconnect to BT it gives me notifications

So now when I use the phone to pay I'm not getting notifications either. Called Samsung Pay support, first they told me it was my bank, not them, I explained that it happens with all cards using different banks, so then their solution is to remove everything and re-enter all cards again. They told me to use the "reset" option inside settings. Last night I purchased a watch face from the Galaxy store and the notification came thru. What a mess...

Anyone ever "reset" the Samsung Pay apps?

If I use SPay from the phone when the S3 is not connected thru BT everything works fine and I get notifications and the transaction is registered in SPay. Use the phone with the Gear S3 connected, the charges go thru the credit card, no notifications and SPay does not register the transaction. I'm thinking of just removing SPay from the S3...

Huh? Why would you use S Pay on the phone when you can use it on the watch? Holding a wrist to the terminal is much more convenient than pulling out a phone.

Because it wont register my purchase on SPay, so I get no points, and the same happens to the phone if connected, and Samsung's solution is to remove and uninstall everything and then re-install and setup, Easier to just remove from the S3... I wish Samsung would have a better solution, like try and figure out what the problem is...

Mine works eather way wearing watch or not any way I use SP I always get notifications in a very short time

I think the purchase has to be for $5 or more to register.

Also, be cautious about checking the Gear app to view transactions. If it says "Tap here to start using Samsung Pay" - don't. It will reset your cards and you'll have to re-enter them again. I finally learned this trick after reloading my cards about 4 times. I've had this message up for about 2 weeks and still able to use my S3 without reloading the cards.

I haven't experienced that problem so I don't know why your purchases on the watch are not being recognized by Samsung's reward program. But I'd use S Pay even without that fringe benefit.

We're at the cutting edge. Implementation will get better. Mobile payments can become one of the cornerstone uses of a smartwatch. And that's for starters. Door unlocking/entry is another application ideally suited for a wrist device.
