So I just got this S3 Frontier T-Mobile Edition a few days ago. I was using the gear fit 2 from note fiasco for a while and I loved the watch faces and some of the interactive stuff such as weather and quick replying to messages. I was just wanting a little more from a watch. I wear this everyday to work and I noticed how cool the controls for music are on it. Obviously trying to skip tracks while driving while turning your wrist isn't the best idea.

So I tried this.

I was amazed at how easy and well it worked. I didn't expect the watch strap to go all the way around the steering wheel. My car doesn't have bluetooth built in :( and I can't control the functions like skip track so this kind of remedies that.

Only thing I'm kind of worried about doing this is stretching out the watch band and scratching the bottom surface like the scanner and the glass. Just wondering if anyone has tried this before and if they have does it cause wear on the band and scratches underneath.

Should be fine. If you're really worried, stick a thin circular piece of rubber onto the steering wheel. Or even a plain sticker for that matter.

That's a really good idea and really simple too. I'm going to get a different strap anyways. The top bezel of the watch is sensitive there is already a very small scratch on it I figured it would be sensitive underneath too. I'll try that or I'll try a screen protector on the bottom. Even just a generic sheet one to cut out or around might work.
