It's in the notification panel. I would consider it a notification. That's what the OP is referring to though, at least that's my guess. It's a persistent device connected notification. As far as I know, you can't get rid of it.That's just letting you know it's connected. It's not a notification.
Click on that two dot thing on the right and it opens Samsung connect panel. Turn that off entirely or you can turn that off for individual devices.
You probably turned off the Samsung connect panel which takes that notification off.it's weird because I always have it too, but today it's not there, and my Gear S3 is definitely connected

It's just a place where you can manage all your connections etc. You pair them via Samsung gear as usual and you don't need to bother or do anything with Samsung connect if you don't want to.Does this mean you have to use Samsung Connect for the Gear S watches? I've got two S2s that I seldom use and haven't activated either with the S8 yet.
In S VOICE when you see three dots on the right touch those and change the language to English UK and it will work, some sorta bug myself and others had the same issue it hangs up on us English for some reasonSorry to change the subject, but are you able to use s-voice to respond to text messages? Since I've went from my S7E to the S8 I've not been able to respond to text messages on my Gear s3.
Well ok... I can see your perspective, but I wouldn't consider a notification as such. It's just letting you know your Bluetooth device is connected. I don't see a problem with that remaining. In fact I would probably be concerned if they're WASN'T something letting me know it's connected.
For the record a that "notification" only shows when I will pull the shade down.
I see your point too about the whole "notification" thing. I personally find it annoying. An actual regular notification pops up if it disconnects(that also doesn't show unless you pull the shade down but it is a real notification, so to speak). I'd rather just assume it's connected and know when it isn't. Disabling it, is exactly what I needed.
