I am exploring some solutions for car and Gear S3 bluetooth connection (problem is when phone is connected to Gear, car bluetooth wont connect, solution is disable Gear BT and let car pick the connection).
It would be nice if any of you can test this and let me know if it works, mine works but it's not perfect not sure why, maybe some of you can help me figure it out.
I use Tasker and BlueTask plugin for this purpose:
Now create a new task for when you get out of the car:
Now to create the profile (or the trigger that will run the tasks):
You should have something like this at the end: Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet
Let me know if it works.
Hope it's useful.

I use Tasker and BlueTask plugin for this purpose:
- Open tasker and click the "TASKS" tab
- Click the + at the bottom right and give the task a name such as "Connect Car Audio"
- Click the + at the bottom right and select Plugin - BlueTask then BT Connection
- Click the Pencil icon at the right of configuration and select Actions to Connect and choose your car bluetooth address.
- Go back
Now create a new task for when you get out of the car:
- Click the + at the bottom right and give the task a name such as "Disconnect Car Audio"
- Click the + at the bottom right and select Net then Bluetooth. Then set it to off.
- Click the + at the bottom right and select Task then Wait. I use 5 seconds.
- Click the + at the bottom right and select Net then Bluetooth. This time set it to on.
- Go back
Now to create the profile (or the trigger that will run the tasks):
- Click the profiles tab
- Click the + at the bottom right and select state
- Select Net and the BT Near
- Click the magnifying glass on the right of Name and select your car bluetooth system. If you prefer you can select the address rather than name.
- Select the option "Standard devices"
- Click the < at the top left next to the tasker icon.
- You will now see a list of tasks to choose. Choose the connect car audio task (or whatever you named it).
- Then tap and hold on the task and choose exit task and choose "Disconnect Car Audio"
You should have something like this at the end: Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet
