Is anyone using a screen protector on their Gear S3?
I looked on Amazon and most of the reviews say that it's slightly to small for the screen. Anyone have any luck with one?

I always use TGSP for my phones but don't on my watches. In the one year I used my Gear S2 3G, I never got any scratches on the screen.

I ordered both the tempered and plastic ones from IQ Shield yesterday. 75% off for black friday. I have used them on every product i ever owned including smart watches and they are always perfect. Probably wont be here until late next week but they are probably worth trying based on past experience. They have awesome customer service also.

I like the Skinomi TPU protectors. I have this protector on my Samsung S7 Edge and Garmin Fenix 3 HR watch...excellent protection. I just ordered this protector for my Gear S3, as well.

Yep got the IQ glass coming. On previous watch had glass protector & its got a nice chip on the edge. Y wouldn't you for a few $?

I have a couple of reasons. First, it decreases screen sensitivity. How much depends on the product, but it's always noticeable to me. Second, I don't think it will provide much protection. The screen on the S3 is recessed, bumping against something is more likely to cause nicks on the watch frame not the screen.

Analog watches can be jewelled timepieces yet we wouldn't think of putting screen protectors on them. Smartwatches are not family heirlooms, they are consumables, worn for a few years then disposed of and replaced. Kinda like car tires.

The older folks may recall back in the day, people use to enclose their couches in plastic to protect it... The next generation- the chillenials, will laugh at us.

From my previous experience owning the Gear S2 3G model I bought the Supershieldz tempered glass specifically for that model since the glass was slightly bigger than the bluetooth only model that they sold a tempered glass for as well. Unfortunately, the tempered glass for the Gear S3 Frontier LTE model is slightly smaller than the watch glass. It is not a lot smaller but it seems 1 to 2 mm smaller. I contacted Supershieldz, they thanked me for the information and the photo I provided and promptly issued a refund. They said they would advise their design department of the issue.JPEG_20161121_172853_-418842329 (1).jpg

Got my IQ Shield plastic screen protectors in today. As usual they are a perfect fit. No gap whatsoever. Waiting on the tempered ones still. If you want the plastic these are perfect. I was gonna post a screenshot but there is no point as you cant tell the difference.

Has anyone tried out the IQ glass shields yet? Would be interested to know if the fit is as good as the plastic ones.

I got mine in. using it now. i would say that its about 95% coverage. the problem is that there isnt any edge really between the screen and the bezel so even with a full tempered protector you still get the distorted images on the edges. i dont see how it can be prevented with a glass protector even edge to edge so i would pass. im gonna go back to the plastic myself but these are the best i have seen so far

One thing I'm not sure of...if the fit of these protectors is well done, they will reach to or very close to the internal edge of the watch? How do you remove one after applying it?

Also, has anyone noticed that these help w/the screen smuding? My S3 Classic seems to smudge much worse than my S2 Classic did. Wondering if one of these screen protectors will help w/that.
