Gear won't power on or charge

so i called samsung.....they emailed a shipping label and i sent it off. got it back fixed in about a week. service was quick and painless....

One more hear that had a completely dead battery and it wouldn't charge from the A/C outlet but as soon as I plugged it into the laptop port - fired right up!

Live in Australia and the first Samsung Gear Live i had, had this issue. So I got it RMA'd... and the replacement has the same issue.

Tried different cables, power outlets, PC and the watch is still bricked.

I just bought my Samsung Gear S 2 weeks ago and it already does not work!!!! I cannot believe Samsung can produce this piece of junk and charge $300. It costs them about $70 to produce and they rob people of so much money.....fine that is the way the World turns...but at least produce something that WORKS!! It shut off and now does not go back on at all no matter what I do. I am going back to the famous Best Buy to complain and am prepared to fight until I either get my hard earned money back or they give me another watch. What is the difference of having your wallet stolen by a thug compared to Samsung and Best Buy selling this piece of CR**? NOTHING!!

I didnt charged my Galaxy Gear and it was dead from 1 month. Today when i tried to charge it, i was unable to charge as nothing was displayed on screen. So, this helped me and my gear booted.
Here is the solution guys, turn on your laptop or PC and plug it with USB cable. For some reasons gear need just a little a little power to turn on.
try until it wont start. try to press power button while charging it with your PC( i kw its hard just use some tool to press power button)

This is the only method it would boot up, and when its 5% charged you can charge it with regular power supply.

Just wanted to let the thread know that this worked on my gear 360 camera... It had been stowed for over a month and wouldn't charge with the a/c adapter it came with even though that charger did charge my s8+ moments before. I plugged the gear 360 into my pc's USB port and it started charging just fine. Then back to the wall charger and finished it off.
