Gel settings xposed

Does anyone else find this to be a resource hog? My ram was running at almost 70%...should I be worried about this? Could it cause problems?

You could try battery saving mode, unless that's what you're using.

Don't stress about memory usage, Android handles memory and multi tasks far different than a desktop. . Unless your memory is fully allocated and you don't have any apps running, don't stress

Sorry for my ignorance but do you have to be rooted to apply this?

No, it's right in the stock settings. Look under location or location services.
