Gel skin from sprint

I have the gel skin from sprint on my evo and I've noticed that the top of my screen is less sensitive to touch with it on. For example, when I have the skin on the phone and I touch the top part of the screen (notification area), the date doesn't show up sometimes. If I remove the skin and do it, it shows up every time.

Could the edge of the skin be affecting the sensitivity of the skin in that area? Anyone else with the sprint gel skin notice this?

I have the same issue but as you but it doesn't matter if my case is on or not. Case or not I can set the phone on my couch cushion and the top half of the screen goes dead. Do you happen to have a screen protector on?

Yea I have the ZAGG protector. And I also have the issue with the top part of the screen being unresponsive on a flat surface like a desk.

If I'm holding it, it's ok except as noted regarding the skin. But even with the skin off, if I put it on the desk, the top part of the screen is flaky at best. Not sure if others are having the same problem but there's a separate thread on it in the forum.

Are you using a screen protector as well?

Yep, zagg shield here as well. I thought that I had seen another thread about this topic but can't find it now.

i also have this problem when the phone is laying completely flat. it only effects the notification bar but its annoying because i have to tilt the phone upwards a little to drag the bar down.

I am using the Sprint gel case and I have no problems with screen sensitivity. I am not using a screen protector though.

Zagg shield user here as well and I seem to be having the same issue with the sensitivity of the top half of my phone while laying flat . Never really noticed it til I saw this thread and tried to re enact the issue and got the same results.
