Sadly, my first reaction was to mark it as spam.

I know I don't need to use it, I just don't feel comfortable with all the recent AI bombardment that is becoming inevitable.

It makes me think of the old Wargames movie when Joshua creepily says, "Shall we play a game?" Or... that Skynet has arrived. (I watch too many movies.)

It is a product of the new world order. This generation has become so entrenched in their phones / computers that human interaction is a thing of he past. Their "friends" are a number count on whatever app they use most often. Having an AI that they can speak to seems the logical step in this "no people needed" evolution. I fear for the future.

That is because Google in its infinite stupidity used Reddit to teach Gemini's LLM. That is the problem with Social Media. All opinions are essentially treated as equal and there is no attempt to vet the veracity or factualness of the information. Nor is there a practical way to teach an LLM sarcasm and humor. Then throw in linguistic differences (even amongst English speakers) and you get crazy, stupid, and even dangerous answers because the "AI" can't tell an comment meant to be a joke from a legitimate, factual answer.

When you ask a question like: "How do I keep my cheese from sliding off of my pizza?" You are going to get sarcastic answers.
