Gentleman's Bet. Any takers?

The other day I learned about Google's Journal app. Since Google has a penchant for killing projects almost right after they launch...any takers on when Journal will be killed? My guess is about 18 months from now.

Don't get me wrong...I've tried the app, and I kind of like it. I wish there was a desktop variant. The app is fine to journal a handful of lines, but anything longer than that, it would be easier to use an actual keyboard.

I say the announcement of its demise will be in about a year and a half, with its official shut down in about 2 years.

It came with the pixel 10 series and I think the older models have it by now.
Looks exclusive to pixel devices.

I don't think it's bad. It launched in summer 2025, and it's a good start for a version 1.0. But there are some things that should be changed. Initial set up (notification options are asked) asks to set goals. One goal is a daily reflection. Logic would stand to reason that if you select a daily reflection, there should be a reminder at a certain time to make an entry. Nope...doesn't happen. Nothing in settings for that.
