Get back to Custom launcher when B&Ns is accidentally started

I have rooted the Nook Tablet and sideloaded launchers and apps that way.

If I by accident start any Nook original programs I can't get back to my sideloaded launcher.

Is there any other way than to restart the device?

There are a couple different ways to handle it, depending on personal prefferences.

There is an app called "Home Catcher" that was specifically designed for Nooks to remap the "n" button.

Other potential solutions could be "Button Savior" and "Soft Keys".

so this is all done with out rooting the software?

just putting a different launcher so you dont have to use the B&N launcher

Yes, you can side load most apps without having to root. You just need to enable installation of non-market apps. Its in a hidden menu thats not normally accessible through the standard Noot Tablet options menu.
