Get files off Nexus 7 onto to USB flash drive

I found the box to tick for write to USB privileges. Just sent some photos across from the Nexus to the FAT 32 USB stick. Slowly learning to use the Nexus 10. It is a very nice tablet!

Kaspersky One is an antivirus that allows you to install it on Mac/PC and Android. Android has the most malware of mobile OS's out there so yea it's a good idea

AVG, Avast, Lookout, Norton, McAfee, BitDefender, Saphos & Webroot all make anti-virus apps for Android. Search the Play store.

Have you tried the Meenova? It's only $12 and plugs into your USB port and allows you to transfer to a micro SD card. You will also need the NMI app to make Meenova work.

From the home screen in Media Importer touch the three dots in the top right corner of the screen. Select Preferences, Scroll down to "Enable Write" and check the box. A permission screen opens up that needs to be approved and then you should be okay. You may need to close the app and re-open it for the change to be effective.

I found the tick box and checked it and allowed permission on the next screen. Now what? I can find files that I would like to download to my USB stick under the Advanced menu on the homescren. I Slect All and hit download but nothing seems to happen.

I guess there the knowledge ended? Wish i had known i could not simply hook a data stick to a USB port on a so called Tablet PC. MY BAD for assuming this would be a standard procedure! Totally all my fault! HOW could i have been that thick.

Now, what do smartphones do, again?

Pfft..
